I am 55 next month and wondering if this will be my last peri- menopausal year.
My last period was in October of last year but I don't think it will be my last. Although I have not seen a bleed recently I am not completely free of oestrogen activity, as about once a week or sometimes fortnightly for a couple of days I have a small yellow stain on my pants at the end of the day, and stretchy vaginal mucus similar to what I used to see in the fertile mid cycle. The rest of the time I am dry down there with no staining at all.
My question is really for ladies who are the other side of meno not on HRT, or even going through late peri did you also have these random signs of fertile type stretchy mucus leading up to the end, and did they stop after you were finally meno?
Also I am almost 55 is anyone else my age going through the late stages of peri?
