Hello Honyebun.
I just wanted to send you my best wishes at this worrying time. We had a similar scare with my MIL recently which set everyone's nerves jangling. I hope you can find some peace and calm very soon.
Take care.

Remember that you don't need to wait until 'morning' - a GP can give advice over the phone if necessary ……. a GP should be reassuring the relatives as well as the patient
………. remember too that people are often 'worse' in the early hours when temperatures rise and fall in the various stages of sleep.

Make sure she takes plenty of fluids. I needed gallons when I had pneumonia. Fingers crossed she has a peaceful night HB. Not much chance of you or your sister sleeping tonight, but at least try & rest when you can.

I hope she fights the infection off HB. Very resilient these 'oldies'.

We have got her favourite carer who she asked for coming to stay overnight. That means in theory sis and I can have a sleep although we will be on standby. This is what she wanted and we are happy with the arrangement as this woman is fond of mother and happy to do what they call a sleepover.

I suspect if she is not much better tomorrow then she will be admitted if they have a bed for her. She is very congested and says her chest hurts. If she starts to struggle then although she does not want it then hospital will be the best place to keep her comfortable.
