Thank you all.  In the hotel now and feeling really nervous - hospital by 7am.  Going for a snack now as don't want a full meal.  May have glass wine - I know I shouldn't but I'm so nervous I'm scared I'm not going to go through with it.  I dread the consent bit etc where they read out all the possible complications .......

Oh send me some courage ladies xx

You already know what you are up against but having it read to you again is important.  You will be OK once you get into the throes of hospital routine ……… 

Make sure that the Staff know how nervous you are!  I think that once you have spoken with your Consultant/Team you will feel resigned and get on with the planned surgery.

I agree with CLKD, it is important they know you are nervous so don't try to hide it.
It is good you are going in early. Is hubby coming in with you?
This is it now, no changing your mind,  you will feel so relieved when it is over. We are all here supporting you, thinking of you and waiting for you to tell us all about it.
Try some relaxation deep breathing on the way to the hospital
Be brave GH, I am sending you love, hugs, strength and courage
