Thanks for replies will take one tonight and see how I go!  I've had cancer in the past so very wary of hrt although I do use ovestin for my dry bits!

Hi Bertiebunny, just wanted to wish you all the best with the citalopram. I too have had cancer (hodgkins lymphoma) and my GP would not prescribe HRT due to that and my age but citalopram has helped me. Like everyone has said there can be a few side effects at first but they do pass. I take mine at breakfast time and try to stick with roughly the same time every day. They can take up to 6weeks to really work so try to be patient and I hope you get  relief from the flushes.

Thanks Thorntrees. Have taken two tablets so far and feel nauseous ( which I'm so used to anyway as have had issues with stomach), also feel very tired. I had non- hodgkins lymphoma and had chemo & radio but ok now. Hope all ok with you too.
