Hi toffeecushion, sending a squishy hug for you, i know this feeling lately, its horrible.  My anxiety was awful too yesterday. I hate New Year anyway so that didn't help but also my anxiety seems to peak a few days after my period which was four days ago.. No idea why, I seem to be weird as most people are just before or during. Also mornings are worst for me, especially in the holidays when i have less of a routine.I find by teatime i usually feel okay and wonder what on earth i was worrying about. I try to remind myself that its the hormones not me that's going mad, although some days are harder than others. Liquid magnesium, vitamins and Femoston have helped and I'm finding things a little better as time goes on, the anxiety tends to last a shorter time. Hope you feel a bit better today and keep chatting to someone, anyone, it helps!  :)

I find driving at night much more difficult that driving in the day because my vision just doesn't seem good (the headlights look like starbursts).  I've mentioned this for years to the optician so it's not new for me but it's definitely getting worse and just adds to the anxiety.

I have exactly the same problem. It's frightening because in places where there are no street lights, I can't see the road ahead.

I bought (expensive!) anti-glare prescription glasses a few years ago but they didn't help at all. I now avoid driving at night, except for very short journeys.

I seem to tick every item on the low oestrogen list but then at times some of those on the excess oestrogen list!  Just goes to show the effect fluctuating hormones has I suppose!

but also my anxiety seems to peak a few days after my period which was four days ago.. No idea why, I seem to be weird as most people are just before or during.

Until I read posts on here, I thought it was only me like this. People talk about the relief when they come on, but I now start to feel dread as I know what's around the corner! Maybe therefore our problem is more a result of fluctuating hormones, rather than low estrogen per se? At the end of our periods, levels start to rise, don't they - which could explain why some of us experience symptoms of both and high and low estrogen? If you take HRT, do you think feeling worse around day four/five is a result of stopping the progesterone? Or do you take it continuously?
If my doc will let me, I think I am going to try taking it continuously to see if it makes a difference. Got nothing to lose ...

One other thing, did you see Pixiegirl's post in New Members? Interesting what her specialist said about the requirements of someone in peri menopause and how something stronger than HRT may be required?

Hang in there ladies - we can get through this together! xx

One of my big issues was palpitations. I seemed to get stuck for a whole day when my heart rhythm was off. It was very scary. Beta blockers at a very low dose helped me so much. I no longer wake in the night with a racing heart and although I still have the occasional palpitation it's nothing like it was. They also help with anxiety.
I can only tolerate a tiny amount but they are very helpful.

Hello Ladies.

The meno anxiety is horrible and if it wasn't for the support and knowledge from the ladies on this site I'd be in an even worse state !

Sending hugs and warm thoughts to you all.
