Diverticulitis anyone ?

Oh heck this is the worst it has ever been and of course I am in panic mode.
Does anyone else have this and any advice. I have taken Mebeverine but it's not doing much.
I have the pain on lower left side but it's going through to my back and I feel pretty bad.
Don't really want to go to the GP to be honest.

Oh poor you. Ring the Pharmacy and see how much 'stuff' plus other pain relief you are able to take?
Gentle massage help?

Know you don't want to, but you might be better at least speaking to a GP today.
Perhaps they'll do a call back?
Very gentle hugs

Please get to see a GP if possible honeyb. A work colleague has diverticulosis and ignored her worsening symptoms and has recently spent a spell in hospital on intravenous antibiotics because she let it get so bad and it had turned into diverticulitis with infection in the pockets. Don't wait. If seen early enough then ordinary antibiotics should sort the infection out.

Hello honeybun.
Our surgery offers a triage service so when you ring a Doctor notes your symptoms and a colleague calls back within the hour and makes an appointment if necessary. Even if your surgery doesn't offer this service a phone call may put your mind at rest.
Keep in touch and let us know how you get on.
Take care.

Thanks all
I have upped the pain killers and its not quite so bad. It's been like this before. If it's still as bad in the morning then I will phone for a telephone consultation.
I think I started to panic. I started to Google which is never a good idea.
I know it's stress related so I need to take a deep breath and try and relax.
I finally told hubby I was not great and just sharing has helped a bit.
