Good afternoon ladies,
I was put on Elleste Duet 1mg back in March this year as my symptoms were as follows: dizziness, loss of taste in mouth, tearfulness plus a few more.  After a couple of months I felt so much better but the last 6-8 weeks has seen my symptoms return with a vengeance.  My GP has upped my dose to 2mg which I am now on the 3rd week of, but no improvement as yet.
Any advice would be appreciated.

has the tearfulness returned or just the taste and dizzy problems?

It could be the taste and dizzy issues are due to an ear, nose and throat issue (ENT).
If untreated then it could clear up on its own then come back later.

Is your HRT keeping your sweats and flushes away still?
If it was before the change to 2mg then I'd not be too quick to blame the HRT.

Best bet if your unsure is get doc to do a throat swab to test for infection.
Also get them to refer to an ENT specialist to check out the dizzy spells thats normally ear related.

Keep going with the HRT for now as you don't want too much change to confuse the symptoms further.

I was put on elleste duet last year and first 3 months were fine the only symptom I had were flushes and no periods prior to HRT. Then it all went wrong so I stopped HRT for a few months and read up on it. I went back and discussed with GP and we both thought it might be the progesterone in elleste so I got Femoston 1/10 in April and it has been great. Don't take a period but not bothered as is has helped with all other symptoms.. Flushes, palpitations anxiety and so on. Maybe you could ask for that. I'm peri age 44
