I think the input from all of the above is valid and helpful. But I would say that I've noticed that, since the onset of menopause, I can become a little obsesive about certain people's behaviour! These are people in my life whom, I feel, abuse the generosity of myself and DH, I have to sometimes tell myself, let it go it won't change! But it's constantly nibbling away at my well being! Maybe not the same situation, but possibly the same effect?!

What I want to know is if the obsession is something to do with the menopause? has anyone else found their feelings for a single thing, or person been extreme? I would really like to know.

Shony - I've have had major obsessions in the past - Thankfully they don't seem to occur so much now.
Don't think menopause caused them, might be hormones though..........

Really hope you feel better / calmer in yourself soon

Thanks for the comments.  However, I'm not suggesting that I did the right thing. That was not my question. I know absolutely that I did the wrong thing. Please don't focus on the event, but the feelings.

What I want to know is if the obsession is something to do with the menopause? has anyone else found their feelings for a single thing, or person been extreme? I would really like to know.

Thanks

SuziQ - my Mum is like that - never happy unless there's a crisis-type situation to chew on!

Must admit I was thinking that.
Just assumed I was being thick - happening more and more these days.

Hmm - See what you mean......
However, seems a bit harsh to lock somebody else's thread?

Who are "we"?

There may be people who come on here occasionally who would like to make a contribution and respond to the original question about obsessive/irrational behaviour and menopause and will be unable to do so if the thread is locked

It appears that the original poster has been active on this site in the past few days.

Are people who post on here written off if they don't make a new comment on threads they've started after 6 days? Are their queries shut down while they are waiting for further input?
