Muscle aches

Hi I'm new to the forum
About 3 years ago I was having really heavy periods, was then referred to gynocolgist who gave me mirina coil had bad side effects had to have it removed then had an injection that lasted 3 months and had to take Tiblone along side this. The side effects I had were terrible water retention generally felt terrible but the worst was really heavy tired legs so bad I could barely walk shuffled about. Didn't have any more injection which after I was told basically put my body into menopause eventually legs returned to normal.
End of last year massive bleeds again refered again had scan, biopsy and told could be end of my periods which is true no periods since January, but I told specialist was getting this feeling in my legs when periods should have been due he said if it gets any worse see my GP get HRT but could start bleeds again he said it was menopausal symptoms .
Now legs are constantly heavy and achey can't pinpoint exact spot just all over some days can barely walk arms and back affected sometimes but legs for noticeable because stopping me from walking. Went to GP she said don't no how I had come to this conclusion but nothing to do with menopause totally dismissed me. Am I wrong thinking these aches are connected with menopause need help  :-\ Sx

Hi Shazzy - welcome to the forum.

Aches and pains are definitely a menopausal symptom so your GP was wrong to tell you that they are not connected. However, other things can cause muscle aches so it would be worth asking for blood tests if you haven't been offered them to check your iron levels and also vitamin D as a lack of this can cause muscle aching and weakness.

Let us know how you get on.

Agree with Taz, get your vit D checked. Had same feeings in my arms and legs.. could barely lift the washing onto line my arms were so weak. Had Vit D levels checked and they were every low even, though I am outside an awful lot. x
