Parma violets, lemon bonbons, banana split toffees.

Anyone remember Callard & Bowser's liquorice fingers? Buchanan's made treacle "pennies" both were so yummy.

I loved Spangles. Had competitions with my friends to see who could suck it the thinnest.

Now for crisps......salt and vinegar for me although I do like roast chicken. Anyone tried the daft new flavours that are out ?
Any recommendations.

Sherbet pips, wow that takes me back. Floral gums.

Crisps, now I have to be careful as there are many I can't have. But partial to Worcester Sauce, Tomato Ketchup, Prawn Skips.

Where we stayed on holiday this week there is a shop that sells all these old fashioned sweeties in jars just like when I was a child. Hubby and I went in on Monday and I got a quarter of sherbet pips and jelly babies which are my favourite. He bought parma violets and a quarter of bon bons..

They have everything you could ever remember in there.  Does anyone remember the coloured crystals that you got in a bag and dipped your finger in and licked it off and your finger changed colour, and kali and sherbet fountains and flying saucers, gob stoppers that changed colours, barley sugar, spangles the list is endless................................

I was always partial to cola cubes and pineapple cubes.

As for crisps ... I'm a huge fan of root vegetable crisps. I have been known to get through a large bag on my own whilst having a family sofa/movie night  ;D
