A friend and I are going to fill shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child. Does anyone know where we can get some empty shoeboxes. Can you ask shoe shops for their unused boxes?

You could certainly try as I think they just recycle anyway.

Two birthdays before Xmas.
My daughter's 20th and my sisters 60 something and my 30th anniversary.
Busy times

This will seem like bar humbug.......but we gave up giving each other Christmas presents three years ago .......and all the children 27,25&23 said it was there best christmas ever no stress at all, they all come home for Christmas and this year the children want to do all the cooking.
Santa still leaves them all a stocking under the Christmas tree though

The children doing the cooking is a 'gift' indeed - beans on toast with an egg then

I will have to make sure I don't interfer, the Middle one who will be in charge I am sure is an excellent cook, but possibly a little bossy. The youngest will be heavily pregnant by then , baby due January
first one, and the eldest will only have a week left before she will be going back home to NZ
but will be great while they are altogether and there other halves.
