I love greyhounds - they would be one of the dogs I would choose (but I have cats). The other breed I really like is elkhounds.

You can get cat friendly greyhounds, some rehoming centres have the facility to do cat-testing.  A couple of years ago there was an article in, I think, Bella magazine of a small female greyhound that had been adopted by someone who ran a sort of rehabilitation centre for animals, the greyhound had acted as Mum to a deer, cats, ducks, chickens and quite a lot of other things as well  :)

Have uploaded pics to photobucket of the cats in my life, we had three, and I didn't know for years how allergic I was to cats,  I didn't have any more after I found out, even the Medics didn't cotton on for years that my symptoms were due to allergy.

The only pics I have are black and white and me holding them, it doesn't bother me to post them, but if anyone objects I won't post.

Its very sad for me as I love cats, even dogs I have a sensitivity too ::)

Lovely cats SL. It's,a real shame about your allergy.

Have you been up close to a non casting dog. They don't usually trigger any allergies.

Ken wouldn't have a pet HB and I think now it wouldn't be a good idea.

Its probably why I like my youtubes of cute animals and pets :)

A virtual pet then, or a Furbie  ;D

I am still hinting about fish but the only interest hubby shows in fish is eating them  ::)

I have had a  Furbie   ;D and I have had a look at the new generation of them ::)

You can see in the last pic, that I sneezed a lot and my nose was swollen and always bunged up ,my GP even sent me to the hospital to have it cauterised, it didn't make much difference  ;D

I am very allergic to cats amongst other things.
When my son left home a few years ago to live with a girlfriend that I always suspected did not like me much. I had it confirmed when she persuaded him to buy a cat. It meant I could never visit for long   ;D. The relationship did not last that long. I got my son back and she got the cat.....not sure who got the best deal  ;D

I have a little non casting Bichon that is great for people with allergies. One of my daughter's friends had such bad asthma attacks triggered by dog hair. It was sweet as she had never cuddled a dog and could have my little girl cuddled up with them with no problems.
