Dulciana - Glad you enjoyed the concert.
Assume part three was Janaceck's Glagolitic Mass?
Don't know it but assume it is good to listen to.

Limpy - yes, part 2 was Janaceck's Glagolitic Mass and it's fantastic to listen to.  The BBC vans were outside the Usher Hall so I presume it will be broadcast or televised some time later in the year.
Would recommend!   :)

Will pay attention and listen when it comes on.
Are the horn parts any good?

I have been to the Military Tattoo in Edinburgh, when you are from a Service family it is something very special, only been once but never missed it on TV, it was always so emotional.

When I lived in Berlin they use to do something very similar at the  Olympiastadion Stadium, I always remember when they reinacted "The Burning Of Moscow" it was spectacular and I have never forgotten it.

Limpy - there are some sumptuous brass parts in general!

Limpy - we're given to understand, from hubby's colleague who sang in the choir for this performance - that the concert will probably be broadcast once the Proms are over.

Thanks Silverlady!  He certainly is a lovely pianist and makes it all look so easy!   And I agree, he is easy on the eye, too.......! ;)

Limpy - the concert that included the Janaceck Glagolitic Mass was broadcast yesterday afternoon (Hubby and I missed it!) and is available to listen to on the Radio 3 website for the next four weeks.  :)
