I think.............. it may not be US ..... but them! ha ha.
No seriously I really believe society as a whole has become more selfish, self obsessed, rude, bad mannered.. and im not just talking about the young ! So its very difficult to deal with, when your not on par. And that includes dealing with family ! I know I cannnot, wont, and damn right, will NOT put up with some peoples crap anymore. But I am finding that most people dont like the truth, (or just plain CANT see it .. ) even if its said in a polite way. At fifty I am realising that" hey ... who cares if they dont like me ... I will speak up if I find something offensive " whether its the spoken word, the written word, or a action that offends. Most of the population are bloody selfish idiots .. Sorry but its what I think. !!
