Morning dread is what I call the anxiety that appears on a morning.

You wake up with butterflies in your stomach and everything seems worse than it really is.

Mine's not so bad at the moment, thankfully, but my heart goes out to all those women who get 'morning dread'

It's different from normal psychological anxiety, as in, the sort you get when you have something anxiety provoking on your mind.
It's there whether or not you have any thing on your mind, and it makes you take minor worries out of proportion.
I get the dreaded Morning Dread!
I've often wondered whether it's made worse by dehydration, because as soon as I've had a cup of tea it disappears!  Anybody else noticed that?
They say the brain is made up of lots of water, so I suppose if it gets dehydrated during the night then it could affect our moods.

I find camomile tea helps. I don't like the taste of it but when you are so anxious you try anything. You can now get it mixed with other things like camomile and spearmint which I find a bit more palatable.
