Hi everyone, after another horrendous period I went back to my doctor. There is a new doctor started and I was booked in to see him, apart from the fact that he looks as if he is twelve years old!! he has been brilliant. I had a full exam which which I was dreading but was all ok in the end. he has prescribed some Tranexamic acid, two tablets three times a day for four days when bleeding heavy. I'm booked in for blood tests on monday. If these tablets do not help he is going to refer me to see a specialist as he quite agree's it is not acceptable for me to be left like this. Im really hoping the tablets work, that would be the simplest solution but at least now I can see a way forward from this.  ;D

Hi Rattymad, Just wanted to say I have had similar problem - bleeding most of the time since December and getting so heavy going thru' tampon & large pad every two hours, even at night and many accidents!!  Anyway, had scan a while back but chose not to have anything done yet.  Last week went back to doc cos bleeding was so heavy and got transexamic acid.  Within three days bleeding had slowed right down and then stopped completely!  I was so amazed.  Anyway, hope these tablets help you too. x
