It's short term stuff with me. In floats around and then floats out again.

I always got muddled with words on the run up to a period. Even my hubby noticed that many years ago it was so noticeable. Now I go through phases where I am fine and at other points it can be really quite bad. I can only think that it's still hormone fluctuations. Hopefully when I get fully post meno it will level out and I will be a bit better.

As for being a people pleaser......It's a work in progress and my ability to say no more often is improving.

Oh my goodness ladies...I forgot I'd written this post!! Shows how bad it is :-\..

Thank you all so much for your replies, I now know A. It's normal and B. I'm not alone :)

Trey...a great post about people pleasing..I've been doing that all my life, and now, like you, am getting to the stage where I actually don't care what others think,it really is quite liberating ;D..I guess there are some positives in the twilight years..

Thank you all for being here

I've only just joined this site and I'm so pleased I found it  :)

I've felt so alone.....like no-one understands, but there are lots of you  :)

I agree with Terri re Trey's post, there comes a time when you have to do what you want to do and not what others expect.
It's hard.....but I'm working on it.
Look forward to reading posts that will help and inspire.

The only time my memory goes bonkers is when I am stressed.  It was really bad in the height of meno.  I used to be afraid to take the Alzheimer's 'tests' that pop up in magazines or the net.  I still think the fifties were my most difficult years and really they should have been because my really screwed up life was fairly settled then.

I'm just sitting here in the desert sun waiting for oh and my legs have suddenly gone blotchy red.  Age does have some weird downsides.
