I had a full hysterectomy 16 months ago and been on estrogen only since, I have had trouble trying to balance it but finding it very hard as I keep getting very bad anxiety.I was wondering if I may need some progesterone as well to help with this problem I don't have a menopause clinic near me so have to depend on my gp but there not to good at the moment.

I haven't had a hysterectomy but do need progesterone to balance my hormones. I know that other women don't and women who have had a hysterectomy sometimes still use progesterone even though they technically don't need it. I have been feeling iffy lately with anxiety creeping back in and just got my blood results today - estrogen fine but zero progesterone. I have now been told to use compounded cream every day - I have this made for me and it delivers a reasonable dose I.e not one of the generally available ones! Why don't you try it and see if you feel any better?

Your other choice would be a low dose mini pill..
