Menopause clinics
« on: March 14, 2014, 03:06:16 PM »

I would be grateful if anyone has got any experience of menopause clinics or private drs in the essex area?   Any recommendations would be good but would have to be self referrals.

Thanks xx

I don't know about clinics or Essex but if you are able to go to London then there are some options- my gynae takes self referrals and I can PM you details.

Have you checked out Find a Specialist, which is above the reply section?

Just reading this post I live in the Essex area and I would be interested in going private to see someone. I have no faith in my GP'S.

Your GP should be able to give you a private referral

Hi I go to a clinic in Colchester and see a doctor who runs a menopause clinic. Her name is Caroline Marfleet. I emailed her myself and told her about my symptoms and she see me without a referral from my doctor. She runs a clinic in Colchester Hospital She is very good. Hope this helps.

Hi SarahM
Not sure if I ever PMd yo with details- I think you didn't have enough posts at the time to receive messages?
Anyway- have just sent you a message now!

FAWN - if you want to private referral ( which is what someone else suggested here) your dr can't refuse to refer, because you are paying for the appts. Some specialists will accept patients without a referral anyway- you need to check.
