When do you take your HRT and does it make a difference? Is it both hormones that can have a sedative effect?

I take mine in the morning for no real reason. I've not noticed a sedative effect, but that could just be me.

Utrogestan has a sedative effect and that's why you take it at night.

I take my tablets (Femoston 2/10) in the morning as soon as I wake up so I feel the benefits of the oestrogen throughout the day. It must still be in my system at nighttime as I'm sleeping well again
Maybe it depends what type you're on and what your symptoms are

I already sleep like a stone because of medication for hyper thyroid condition which has tipped me over to hypo, so probably wont make much difference
My oestrogen is in patch form so cannot take at a certain time.

Silver- if you use patches then are you asking about when to take the progestin?
As someone has already said, utrogestan is best taken at night because it can make you sleepy or dizzy. But any other kind, then take it whenever- it wont make any difference.

I'm on Utrogestan and yes taking it at night, mainly because I wont forget it, but wondered about the sedative effect. To be honest I cant tell if its affecting me in that way anyway
