Maybe you can help
« on: February 18, 2014, 11:29:19 PM »

I'm looking to purchase a small folding fan to put in my handbag, in case of flushing. Nothing to fussy, but no bigger than 15cm in length when folded . I have several fans already, but only one is small enough & is looking rather worn these days. I have searched online but nearly all are around  23cm in length.  Accessorise used to have little dainty ones, but no longer. Many come as wedding favors, and as such are sold in bulk. I only need one.

Any ideas ladies?

I have found the best thing for mine is a beer mat. Nice and discreet but packs a lovely waft of air!

Where do you buy the beer mats from Taz  ::)

How about these CG, don't know how much they are but they are 15 cm.

I don't buy them - I borrow them from the pub although I do have a Frank Turner one at the minute... very rock'n'roll!!!

hi cuba girl,

amazon has lots of small fans for a couple of pound each, you have spurred me into buying one as the battery operated ones always seem to somehow switch on in my bag and when i go to use it the batteries are dead!

Thanks ladies. Managed to order one from Amazon. It's slightly bigger, but only £2.50 so can't complain.

Great to have in your handbag WTD. I'm not too bad at the moment, only about 6 flushes per day, none at night, so far. No sweats either. Sweats were awful last time I came off HRT. I'm now on half a 25mg patch, trying to wean myself off.

Necessity.  ;D Don't think it would look great with a ball gown though. Could steal a menu I suppose.
