HRT side affect

I have had my dose Elleste sols increased from 1mg to 2mg on Monday the last two nights I have had terrible cramps in my legs which has kept me awake then when I did go back to sleep I woke with a bad sweat and racing heart.Do you think  maybe I should take a tablet every other day for a while cant face the doctors again !

I wouldn't do that without talking to your DR. first. That could cause some other problems. You were given HRT for a reason right? I was also having terrible cramps in my legs also. I started taking magnesium and I almost never get them anymore!

Thanks Karen I have some here do they work soon though, I don't think I can stand it again tonight .

Unfortunately they took a few days to work for me. Hope they are faster for you though! I know they are extremely painful!  :( If you get them tonight try immediately standing up and press on the the painful spot as hard as you can. it seems to give me a little relief.

Anyone else have any ideas?

I will do that ,the awful feeling is when it wakes you out of your sleep! Its the bottem of my legs that cramp up frightens the life out of me.

Yes, it is scary and extremely painful! Thankfully not life threatening though! Here is a link with more info on preventing the cramps.

To be honest I have never noticed any side effects when starting HRT. But I was very naive when I first started and apart for a while on tiboline (spelling!) I have only been on three types. Lucky or non observant, not sue which but I was alway busy busy so did not pay close attention. Guess I have been lucky  :).

I had exactly the Same thing. Took magnesium and only lasted a few days. Carry on if you can
