i think you lay them om the top of any stew and the first layer are soft and then the top layer crisps up
like you clkd we love potatoes cooked in any fashion
honeybun thats how we are dealing with the diabetes a little of everything really, lucky he is not that bothered about sweet stuff but loves crisps and salted nuts so i have to watch him as he will go overboard

Mine has to be watched most of the time ...
Being type 1 he is watched by more than me. Fortunately he does not have a sweet tooth at all. Mind you ginger is his thing....anything with ginger and he is lost.

Any kind of ginger.
My daughter did him a ginger hamper for Xmas...Lakeland has the best choice of all things ginger. The cordial with ice cold soda water is just lovely.
