Those critters that live in our eyelashes  :o saw a programme many years ago about what lives on our skin etc., quite fascinating.

Bad hyegine was the cause of TB in the slums ……….  :sigh:

We often hoover our mattress and DH pulls out the bed to do underneath every 3 months, I don't have so many allergies when we stay somewhere else and certainly after a Good Hoovering of the bedroom my sneezing lessens.

That's why the blankets get a very good airing on a windy sunny day but I never think about sharing a bed with creepies when we go away ……..

Sorry to say they could blow for days and that won't kill them  :o

All bedding needs a really hot wash.

Bed bugs and bed mites. Especially the mites. They live all over.

Not everyone has a reaction to them when they are bitten.

The dust mites don't really bother me - they are just clearing up dead skin after all but I can see that if you have allergies you have to be more careful.  Bed bugs are a different matter altogether especially as you can "catch" them up so easily. Haven't seen any but will watch out for them. I wash our bedding on 95 degrees anyway - must be a habit I picked up from my mum! However that wont stop bedbugs from hiding away in the cracks and crevices. I will be vigilant!

Don't know how we got onto dust mites from a Sales thread.  :-\:)
Went into Clinton's this morning for a card and ending up buying Xmas wrapping paper and cards with 75% off!   The Christmas novelties had 90% off.

One of the many joys of this forum. We can go off in strange directions and end up back where we started.  ;D

No one seems to mind.
