My mum had TIAs that went unnoticed and ended up with vascular dementia. Has the GP been told of the cold and heavy arm?
Thinking of you HB, it's hard when you dont feel you can intervene on your mum's behalf I'm sure.

Please get the GP to check for a urine infection - some of the symptoms can be confusion and muscle fatigue. This is what had my Mum in hospital for over a month bot it took them 2 1/2 weeks to diagnose it

Thanks I had thought of that but as she has recurrent infections the last urine test was at the end of last week and was clear.
She is much the same today according to sis. There is a lot of zoning in and out. One minute making perfect sense the next of to her own little world. It's not that she talks rubbish she just has no recall and is unaware of what she has said.

That does sound very much like a vascular problem Honeybun.

Yes she ticks a lot of boxes.
Just got to wait and see what happens. Nothing major for a while I hope. She is going to the GP a week today so we will see what comes from that.

Get the GP to call at home! If this is vascular then she needs therapy ASAP! Give your Surgery a ring for advice?

I agree with CLKD.....maybe you shouldn't wait until the GP appt. Does she take aspirin? I have been celebrating our November holiday and haven't been on much. So sorry to hear this about your mom, honeybun.

She was at the doc's this morning and had an ECG done. She is now on one aspirin tablet a day as a blood thinner and that's it.
She seems fine at the moment although still complains a bit about her arm.
Not much else to be done it would seem.
Thanks for asking.
