I woke up thinking of going Christmas shopping but managed to overcome that urge and went to Suffolk instead to put some flowers on my dad's grave for his birthday next week. I sat and ate his favourite bar of chocolate just for him - well someone had to...  ;D

There was a Christmas Fayre going on in the town but I managed to avoid that too!  I'll have to start soon though...

I have bought a few things but just can't seem to get into the Xmas groove.

I never put the tree up until the week before. I like the decorations but only for a short while.

Got a case of the bah humbug this year.

I was a bit like that last year, bit more enthusiastic this year. Grandchildren will be up for Christmas, weather permitting, so that makes a big difference.

Decorations are up at our caravan, as we'll only be there 4 more nights before Christmas!

The tree at home will go up sometime during the week 16 - 20 December (it has to be up by 21st, ready for our Yule Dinner on the Solstice).

Pressies ... hmmm!  I've bought one from Amazon (not delivered yet), so I've made a start!  Daughter wants money as she wants some acessories for her bow (she's an archer), and they are very specialised, so I can't buy them for her - she will have to take her bow to the shop so she can make sure everything feels right when it's all assembled!  So I'll just need to find a few silly bits so she has something to open.  MIL is easy - she's told us what she wants.  My Mum is a nightmare to buy for!  She doesn't read, listen to music or watch dvds, she doesn't like 'smellies', so nice toiletries are out ... I could go on!  There's a good chance she'll end up with a big box of Thornton's Continental (the adults in our family have never made a big thing of Christmas - token gifts, really, so she won't think I'm being stingy!).  Hubby - not a clue!  But, I've still got 3 weeks, so I'm not panicking yet (much)!

Food - now you're talking!  I LOVE Christmas cooking,  I'm going to sit down tonight and make my lists - all bells and whistles dinner for 8 for Yule, lower-key but still special for 4 for Christmas Day (has to be toned down a bit from my usual as I'll be cooking it at Mum's and she has a tiny kitchen and a very small gas oven (I'm used to a big electric fan oven!), and some very special party-type things for New Year (just the 3 of us - how we like it) that daughter and I will make.  Now, THIS is the planning and list-making I can get excited about!
