So will you be scouring the shops/internet tomorrow for bargains? I'm buying hubby's tablet tomorrow as guy in John Lewis said it may be reduced. Still buying even if it's not.  Not getting iPad air though. Sony one suits hubby better & is a bit cheaper.

There have been a lot of deals on Amazon this week. Seen better though. Perhaps tomorrow will be the best day.

Yes he did. But son said no he should look elsewhere, as you are stuck with their apps & theirs alone. He suggested a nexus 10. However, I went to JL & spoke to tech guy & he basically said same as our son. He then suggested a Sony Xperia Z 32gb. At the moment it comes with an extra 32gb memory card & once you've registered it you also get an extra £100 of apps. It gets really good reviews too.

I know Black Friday means sales, I think! But when and how did it start and why the name Black Friday ?

I had to look it up myself. It was the name which flummoxed me. Now I understand, it's the meaning of black in monetary terms. Had to explain it to daughter on Skype yesterday too as neither of us could figure out the black bit. Duh, so simple when you know the answer.

I know, the name is misleading. Black Friday sound like a day of mourning
