As for adverts: the 1 that makes me smile is the Seat car - a man drives up to an apparently empty property and toots his horn; a young lad of about 9 looks out the window then dashes down stairs; has a look round the car with the man, is invited into the car for a ride  and throws out the toy he was playing with.  No other adult apparently evident

I know that's what it is supposed to be but it gives the 'wrong' message.  No other adult present, the man doesn't tell anyone about his surprise nor does the child ask permission to go in the car ……….  only the child, the male driver and a camera crew ………..

I cry way too easily, mostly about cruelty. Anything to do with cruelty and especially to children and animals I cant bear to hear about or read about - have to turn the page quickly to avoid it. Its because once I've heard about it, I cant forget it and it preys on my mind.

I get really annoyed with myself over tears springing to my eyes whenever I recall something upsetting but I just cant control it. I think I am quite a strong person but the tears get in the way of me being assertive sometimes. You cant be assertive when you're weeping 

Also, children singing always makes me cry.

"Missing my little moggie" nights  - like tonight.   There were times when I needed nobody but her.  This is one such night and all I have is her photo.

Don't think a lot of the tears on here qualify as "silly things".

I reliably cry at beautiful music, or songs that bring back memories (even happy ones). OH says oh, you're off again 
Last time it was Marieke by Jacques Brel. It's very emotional.

I cried at the news tonight. The little boy who was killed by his mum, put in a suitcase and dumped. He was only three. It just broke my heart.

The old lady feeding the birds 'tuppence a bag' in Mary Poppins and the song that goes with it. It made me cry as a child and it still does now.
Just something about the loneliness and kindness of that old woman that really gets to me.
