Bloating
« on: November 19, 2013, 08:42:39 PM »

For the last five or six weeks I've had the most awful bloating :'(
I feel and look as if someone's stuffed a cushion in my abdomen.
Also suffering from terrible heartburn and nausea  >:(

I've now had checks for gallbladder (scan was clear), blood tests for ulcer ( also clear).

Now doc is suggesting hormones? Can anyone else relate to this?

Cannot believe this is also related to meno  :(

Digestive problems are very common in meno. I have suffered from this. I don't have constipation but Fibogel and a good pro biotic really helped me as does HRT.

You have my sympathy but you are most definitely not on your own with this.

Yes, and constipation.  >:( got a lot better for a while due to avoiding wheat, pulses, red meat and "farty" veggies like cabbage, but it's back.
I do think gluten free helps though. If you can't tolerate fibogel (like me) try movicol. Just not every day!
Gastro doc also told me apples are bad for IBS. It's their high fructose apparently.

Thanks for your replies girls!

Think I may cut out the high fibre stuff and dairy to see if it helps! Surprisingly I stopped eating weetabix in the last week or so and have felt a whole lot better. Still a bit windy but nowhere near as bad as I was.

Today's symptom......skipped heartbeats....here we go again :'( :'( :'(
