Anyone who loved Goya Aqua Manda, it will be in the stores very soon now in time for Christmas.

I just hope its how I remember it, the packaging is almost the same.

I use to wear panache in the 70's.
Found some recently in a village department store.
Same box,bottle everything,except the smell.
It just wasn't the same distinctive panachey smell as before.

I took it back and the lady said that my body has probably got use to that smell.
I said I haven't used it for years-30 odd :-\- but she said it doesn't matter ::)
Anyway she gave me my money back :)

I hope you have better joy with the Aqua Manda silverlady :)

Dyan

Was it in this packaging ?

On Amazon reviews they are very positive about it , do you think you bought some original that might have gone off a little?
I was thinking of buying some as it was one of the perfumes I use to wear.

The guy responsible for reviving Aqua Manda has bought the Patent and followed the formula and packaging faithfully, so fingers crossed.

No I don't think it was SL.
It was in a plain blue box like the old one.
Perhaps you're right about it being the original and gone off.
I'll have a look for this one SL and see if I can try a tester first.
I take it that's the new box?
 Love the link! ;)

 :thankyou:

Thank you Silverlady.  Would you keep us posted if you see Aqua Manda for sale, it was one of my very favourites and I might get someone to buy it for me maybe.  Would it be for sale in the big department stores do you think.

Thanks

Meg

4711?

Remember that as we age our skins exude different hormones which will alter the scent of perfume?

I would love to have a 'signature' scent but find that I either forget to apply any or it gives me a dull headache.

Ellie

Evening in Paris was the first perfume that was every bought for me.  Think I still have the bottle and packaging!  I thought it was absolutely gorgeous and still do.  Brings back good memories.  4711 was also my grandmother's perfume, I remember she liked a dab on her forehead if she had a bad head as it was cooling.  Both of these perfumes were in lovely designed bottles.  Thanks for bringing back some good memories.

Oh happy days!!!!! Will be there when the doors open. Aqua Manda eh, there was KIKU in the yellow box, Gingham too. I remember Evening in Paris and I shoved the little black plastic bung in my ear- playing at doctor and nurses!!! Mum took me to the Doctors who retrieved it from my ear!!!! I loved Pretty Peach by Avon, there was 'Caprice'. Oh boy.

I'm so excited about the prospect of getting some Aqua Manda!!
Isnt it funny how smells can remind us of things- Pears Soap and 4711 aleways remind me of Grandma, White Linen perfume reminds me of Mum- I even have a bottle to have a 'sniff' now and again (no comments please- I am fully aware that I am probably losing the plot!) Ponds cream reminds me of my maternal Grannie.
I have noticed whilst out and about that women of a similar age to me love the retro things- clothes, books and fashion, I think it's a way of getting back to our youth, when we had no responsibilites bar what to wear and what hairstyle to have- maybe happier times- or at least different times. I bought a 'Jackie' annual from Amazon a couple of years back, its fantastic- DonnyOsmond, David Cassidy, oh, be still my beating heart!
So 4th November I will be shopping!
