Best bedding for coping with hot flushes
« on: September 16, 2013, 10:55:46 AM »

Hi
Had a full hysterectomy in May and I am now struggling with hot flushes. Can cope during the day but struggling to sleep at night because i'm so hot. I'm using a chillow under my pillow which does give some relief but my body is still hot.
Can anyone recommend the best type of bedding to help keep me cool?
Thank you

Hi tjwilkin

Just wanted to say  :welcomemm:

Sorry I can't help with the bedding - personally I would have thought natural rather than synthetic though.

Have you been offered HRT? You don't say how old you are but having a full hyster puts you straight into menopause so no wonder you are feeling like this. If under 50 especially it's important to replace oestrogen to help protect your bones - if there is no medical reason why you are unable to  have it.

There is a lot of helpful information on this site - which you may have read already!

If there is anything you need help with do ask and I'm sure someone will be along with better advice re bedding.

Hi there.  :welcomemm:

Try looking for coolmax bedding online. Marks & Sparks used to sell and I got some then, but can't get there any more.
