I don't see how a TENs machine would be used for the pelvic floor  :-\

I think to stop the symptoms have a word with your Practice Nurse about Vagimem-type products  ;) - and you can discuss the TENs at the same time.

Where do you stick the pads. I got one for knee pain. It's not very good though. They were all the rage a few years ago. I remember they were just starting when I had my youngest. Not for me..nothing less than an epidural  :o

My understanding also is that tens machines are used for pain relief.  Offered to some women in labour.

My dad had one for his rheumatoid pain - it worked for that. I can't find anything online which even suggests you can use a TENS machine for pelvic floor.

Are you sure you heard it correctly Tingly?  Inner giblets?  TENS is explained here http://www.nhs.uk/conditions/tens/Pages/Introduction.aspx

I guess it would have to be different for internal use as the one I have for muscle pain is really quite nippy. I would not fancy that for my bits.

Interesting though.

I see the confusion. Its a TensCare machine not a TENS machine. You can get these sort of exercises free of charge from the NHS if you are referred to a continence advisory clinic - well I got one anyway.

If you are having problems with your pelvic floor Tingly then I would say insist on a referral to your local pelvic floor specialist nursing team or your local continence advisory clinic. Don't waste money on this type of thing without proper approval. Not everyone benefits from something like this apparently.

VA seems to be only relieved by oestrogen Tingly although there are lots of products out there which say they will cure it.
