I'm looking at new boots for winter too. Have found a pair I like online by Romika. Just got to find a store locally as I need to make sure they are wide enough in the leg.  Used to wear Romika mules years ago and they were so comfortable. No Romika stockists up here so far as I can see. So may head for Hotter for boots.

The laces can be loosened and reviews say they the most comfortable the buyers have ever worn.

The boot tongue is at the back not the front.

They are Fly London Women's Yama Suede boots.

They look OK.  I live and die in my Wellies from about November through until April with thick socks  ;D

They look rather comfy. Do the soles give you a workout?

Have a look on amazon for reviews, they give a good grip in snow and are comfortable even if worn all day.

Not sure about a workout but I didn't buy them for that as my fit flops do that and I am not sure the don't make my back worse at the moment.

I went for sheer comfort (they look good too) hope they work for me.

When your wellies fall apart look for MuckBoots.  All our family have them now in various colours.  They are a million times more comfy than wellies  and you don't need thick socks as they are insulated.  They are also oil resistant.  They are about the same price as a pair of Hunter wellies but way, way better.  I sold my Hunters on Ebay when I got my Muckboots as they are so much better.  I remember going to a horsey event one winter in wellies and thick socks and I honestly thought I was going to die from such cold feet.  I have never had cold feet once in my Muckboots and I only wear little trainer socks or none at all.

They look great Pennyfarthing, just had a look and I have the Sherwood Oakfield Fashionable Gardening Mucker Dog Walking Boot on my wish list and at a very reasonable price too.

Just received my Fly Boots and I am so pleased with them, very very comfortable so much so that I am thinking of ordering another pair in a

different colour as they have about nine colours to choose from.

It was the right choice :)
