Hi all, its a bit embarrassing but after sex last night I bled, its 7 months since my total Hysterectomy, I am on 2mg HRT, it was painful as well, I also feel like I am going to pee my self and it burns a bit. Since my opp sometimes when I have a wee it hurts and then 2 sec later I feel I want to pee again, can anyone help me on this please

Hi moonbeam - it could be that you need something like Vagifem as well as HRT to help with dryness - which doesn't always show itself as "dryness" but more cystitis like symptoms and/or painful sex.
I do think, though, that you should mention this to your GP to rule out anything else. Did you keep your cervix or is that automatically included in a total hyster?

Hi I do believe it means taking it all , cervix , ovaries and all, I think a trip to a docters is called for, thanks taz x

Just read your post and noticed someone mentioned Vagifem. Could someone please help me? I have been prescribed Vagifem and want to know if anyone has used this and if they have had any side effects? The list of side effects is so long that I'm worried. I live in Australia and we don't seem to have an Ozzie menopause matters forum so please ladies, can anyone help me out here? I would be so grateful.

Think quite a few ladies have used Vagifem, quite happily.
One of the other members lives in Australia - so you are not alone, think she uses Vagifem very happily

Been using for nearly 5 years, only side effect is a happy vagina, no more soreness, oh and happy hubby, no more sandpaper sex!!!!!

Ahhh right thanks. Have been using KY jelly which does help but can see myself needing something better at some point

Yes, I used lube but it really wasn't enough. Now I don't need lube but still use it sometimes, if I feel a little bit dry
