Hope you got on well with your appt today, damejean!  I'm doing really well, thanks.  In fact, I've suggested to my husband today that we go away abroad in September.  Haven't felt like it recently but today I've been feeling really well.

Having said that, I'm due to take the first Utrogestan capsule tonight, so hope it continues!

Let us know how you got on at your appt.

Hi Liz
I'm so Happy for you... :) Please think positive!!   just remember you will be Taking a
different type off the prog.

You will have a wonderful Holiday with your Husband. Sorry i'm late getting back to let you know how my appointment went.

Here goes...In short... I went in room explained how i was feeling, says to the nurse that i can't cope any longer. Asks her to put me on  Estradot and Utrogestan. HER reply!!!! You don't need that type! i will try you with something that is combined.

Well i nearly lost it, i could feel myself ready to bolt out of their. But i did say? that i would not be fobbed off.   So at the end of our discussion, she gave in  ;D  But she is only giving me 8 patches and 10 tabs. she wants me to collect tomorrow and start straight away

I did thank her very kindly So i'm just going to have to keep my fingers crossed and think positive myself. I shall keep you posted.

Also Liz  may i add the nurse is a very sweet person i just went in the room panicking, silly me.

Again Good luck xx

Great news, damejean!  I'm really glad that you've got the chance to try the Estradot/Utro combination.  So.....you've got enough patches for 4 weeks (2 per week), but you've only got 10 Utro capsules??  When do you have to take your capsules?  I have to take them on days 15-26, so 12 capsules per month.  Just make sure you've got enough capsules for your whole cycle......... if not ask for some more.

I took my first Utro last night and so far, so good.  Feeling a bit sleepy this morning, but I can handle that. Keep us updated on your progress.

Sorry - I forgot..... What HRT were you on before? (If any). x

I will check and see how how many caps i get. I might not have heard her clearly.

Bit scared of making change, but i feel it was necessary for my sanity's sake.

Hi everyone

I have just switched over from Evorel Conti 50ug to Estradot 50ug and Utrogestan 100mg (continuously) as my consultant was concerned I wasn't absorbing enough on Conti.  I am wondering, why I have been prescribed Utrogestan 100mg as opposed to 200mg?

As for anxiety, I was really bad for 3 years prior to going on HRT.  HRT has really helped me.

Hormones, eh?

Badga  ;)

Hi badga - I've answered on your other thread. The standard dosage is 100 mg is for conti use, 200 mg for cyclical, although this can reduced  under specialist guidance
