I'm on estradot 37.5 at the moment and doing fine on it. Have to reduce to 25 in the next few weeks though. Fingers crossed it works for both of us.

I used to be on oestrogel, which I applied each night, but I was was getting an increase in flushes again.  Consultant suggested Estradot 50 initially, but my BP was misbehaving, so GP thought it would be best to try a lower dose which is keeping flushes, sweats etc at bay.  Have to say I prefer the patches, not so messy.  They stick well, most of the time.  Never heard of gel patches though.

I have been on Estradot for 6 years ,I started on 50 and now use a 75mg patch and they work really well, I change mine every 3 days , supply can sometimes be a bit difficult so if thats the case where you are you have to order well in advance, will stay on them as long as I need them.:D

Joyce

Hi Joyce when you changed from the gel to the patch did you experience an increase in hair shedding ?

Mine has increased badly I was on 2 pumps gel and started on 50 patch estradot but was getting bad flushes so after 2 days increased to 75 do you think this is why ! To much estrogen to soon

This is a really old thread and it looks like Joyce is no longer a member.

As Birdy says, you do need to give HRT time to settle.
