Gosh your feet haven't touched the ground!

Turkey ....... emmm - too close to Syria for my liking although  a friend went recently and said the area they were in was quiet enough.  She loves it there.

Off tomorrow for an over-night stay near peterborough  :-\

Welcome back from Oban!  How was the weather?  When we went in the early 90s it was alternate days of rain and sun  ::)

How can you remember the weather after 20 years.  ;D
I can't remember last weeks.

Must have made quite an impression for one reason or another.

I remember 2 weeks of wall to wall sunshine 40 years ago whilst on holiday in Arran. Great holiday!  ;)

We got back from Croatia last weekend. Had a fantastic time & the weather was great - not too hot so just right.

The hotel was fab, right on the harbour, although the view from our bedroom was not very good - a brick wall about 10 feet away, still we couldn't afford a view of the Adriatic.

We went on some lovely walks along the coastline & a boat cruise down the coast.

Came back thoroughly refreshed & relaxed ............... & then got a stinking cold. I knew I would because there were a lot of people coughing & sneezing on the plane going over.

We were wondering whether to try Croatia next year. What's the food like?

Very good food.
In the north (Istrian Peninsula) it is influenced with Italian food. Lots of past dishes, lovely pizzas. The area is famous for truffles so again there are some dishes with that in. I didn't like the smell of truffles so didn't try them (it's a marmite thing, you either love them or hate them).
You also get Slovenian dishes too. Our favourite was Cevapacci (grilled dish of minced beef).

Pork, Venison, Veal & beef are all available.
Being by the Adriatic Sea there is plenty of fish. Hubby had catfish one evening which he said was one of the best things he had eaten.
I thoroughly recommend it littleminnie - it is the perfect holiday resort - well so long as you are not too bothered about the beaches as they are normally made out of rocks/boulders.

This is the area we stayed in.

We off back to Cyprus next Wednesday, we booked it last minute, well two weeks ago anyway, we're going to celebrate our annerversary 24 years.
It's a lovely Hotel 5 star and all inclusive and the food is so good, I just hope I feel better as at the moment I feel completely knackered, Even having a shower this morning exhausted me, maybe my ms fatigue is back, but keep getting more flushes that just seem to last for ages. So nothing today except eat and drink, luck my hubby is good at cooking and housework!

Take a couple of days to pack that case and enjoy Smokey and  :congrats:
Croatia is very popular.  If I was a flyer I would go there!
Back now .........

Oh the remembering of the rain in Oban - I had a cocker then and she was either very damp or very dry  ;D ............ one day it blew a gale and she refused to get out of the car .........

I dont think the Cape Verde islands aren't much further than Cyprus.
Someone at work went last year and loved it.
