Please can anyone tell me where I could buy a small roll of that ribbon florists use to do bows for flowers?

Many thanks

Hi Clio,

I have seen that ribbon in card shops and my local supermarkets. It's not as wide as the one florists use, it's more for finishing off wrapping presents I think.  Also, the local florist may sell you a roll if you went into ask ?  Or have you got a hobby shop near you ?

I hope that helps and good luck with your baking  :)

Have you got a Hobbycraft nearby?  They sell all sorts of florists' supplies, but in sensible quantities!

It's getting the ribbon to curl that is my problem, running the thumb down the strip is supposed to make it go all wiggly  :D ….

Using the back of a knife or the coutside edge of scissors is easiest ;)

You can watch a demonstration on You Tube of how to curl the ribbon - that's probably the easiest way to learn if you aren't sure how to hold the scissors. :)

"Her tongue works faster than her needle" was the only Report comment I can remember - from my needlework teacher  ::)
