Sorry to differ LD but it seems that Dwile Flonking or Dwyle Flunking is one of those things that is a bit uncertain as to origins but the first match was played in Beccles in Suffolk in 1966. Dwile is a Suffolk word for dishcloth and one my dad still used. "pass me that dwile gal"
